Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (link to: http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?

My holiday wish for my family this year is that we all have a good Christmas and can enjoy our time together as a family. A few Christmases ago, my grandmother passed away around the date. So, Christmas is not only a celebration of Christ's birth, but often serves as a remembrance for her as well.

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition?

On Christmas morning we often gather as a family to open the remaining Christmas presents under the Christmas tree. This includes gifts to the dogs! It's fun to see how excited they get as they open (yes, they can open the wrapping paper) their presents.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?

I think that, at the moment, my decadent wish would be to have my college tuition fully payed for (along with living expenses.) It looks like I'll be moving in summer, and, to be frank, the cost of living there is almost too expensive for me.

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?

We make the holidays special by really spending time with each other over the holidays, baking together, etc. This year, we even made our own ornaments together which was fun. Although it hasn't happened yet, I'm sure we'll make cookies together too! (I'm going to try not to eat them all this year ;)

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?

Growing up, my family and I often played board games together -- such as Scategories, password, etc. As we've grown up more, we've started to play video games together such as Mario Kart Wii and Golden Eye 007. (I highly recommend 007 if you haven't played the new Golden Eye already. It's great ^.^)

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?

I feel like the largest holiday tradition that I've carried on is how we bake cookies every year. Before my grandma passed away, she always made German cookies and cakes for Christmas -- which everyone loved. Now, partially in remembrance of her, we bake some of the same cookies she did.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?

I think that for my Christmas-away-from-home trip, I would choose to spend it with my family, in Germany. The last time that we went to Germany together everything was quite beautiful, and I had a great time. I think that my family would enjoy going there again, and I would as well.

8. Check out GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year?

My top wishlist items from gamestop this year are:

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes

White Knight Chronicles

Xbox 360 250GB with Kinect

The games look very awesome. And the Xbox is on there because, well....I really like some of the Xbox games. I'm a secret Halo fanboy....I'd take a PSP though, if I couldn't have that ;)
